sLEEPING giant river guides
a deeply-rooted tradition
of sharing the great outdoors
from the local perspective
Our Goal, at Sleeping Giant River Guides, is to educate people on the ecosystem of the Greater Yellowstone Basin, while providing a safe and relaxing recreational outlet that create life-long memories.
The river was, and still is, a haven to escape, whether it’s whitewater, scenic, fishing, or the traditional island camping trip with the kids. Our experiences and knowledge of the area is what makes Sleeping Giant River Guide’s river tours unique.
The Sleeping Giant name is from the ridge south of Livingston, that portrays a realistic sculpture of a face looking upward to the sky. Its towering peaks and bowls fuel the waters of the Yellowstone River.
Matt was born and raised in the Mountains. He has worked as a whitewater and scenic river guide since 2011. Outdoor recreation is, and always will be, a way of life for he and him and his family. When he is not guiding clients, Matt can be found on the river with his family, or mountain biking the area’s premier single-track. Matt is certified in CPR, 1st Aid, and Swift Water Rescue.
